In anticipation of future growth, Zekiah Technologies has added Dr. Joseph V. Homan to its executive leadership team. Dr. Homan joins as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and brings nearly 30 years of experience in government contracting to the position. He will assume the COO role with the goal of preparing the company for significant expansion over the next several years.

Zekiah is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Mahaffey to the position of Vice President.  Mr. Mahaffey will be managing Zekiah’s new contract at the Department of Homeland Security in Arlington, VA.

Zekiah Technologies, Inc. announced today the award of a Geospatial Services and Support contract by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to perform geospatial analysis and product development for the DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection (IP) Geospatial Support Team (GST). The total value of the contract is $5,618,312.99 over a three-year period.

The Daily Record announced on January 25th that Brianna Bowling is one of the Most Influential Marylanders for 2012.   The Daily Record's editors chose 50 honorees in 10 categories.   Ms. Bowling will be recognized at a special celebration at the Grand Lodge in Cockeysville, MD on March 29th.   In addition, a special magazine highlighting the work of each of the honorees will be published in the Daily Record on March 30th.  Ms. Bowling was selected in the Technology category.

Zekiah Technologies has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies for the fourth consecutive year with a rank of 2630 on the 2011 list, up from a previous rank of 3484 on the 2010 list. Zekiah's continued presence on the Inc. 5000 list has been powered by a 3-year growth rate of 88%.

On the weekend of April 1-3, 68 dedicated volunteers gathered together hoping to improve the outreach of multiple local charities through technology. The draw for all of these volunteers was the second annual Southern Maryland GiveCamp, hosted at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. GiveCamp brings technology to local charities by connecting volunteers and charities together to build websites and applications for the charities.

Zekiah Technologies, Inc. announced the acquisition of Upper 90 on April 15, 2011. Upper 90 is a nationally regarded firm specializing in geospatial application development in GIS and CADD formats. Since 1993, Upper 90 has been very closely associated with the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE), and has provided virtually all of the current contents of the SDSFIE Toolbox and supports and has written both Web Tools and Services in support of SDSFIE Compliance.

Zekiah Technologies announces the availability of the open beta of WeoGeo Tools for ArcGIS.

Developed by Zekiah in partnership with WeoGeo, Inc., WeoGeo Tools is an extension to ArcGIS Desktop that allows users to browse, customize and order geospatial data from WeoGeo Market or hosted libraries. With final release targeted for mid-June of 2011, Zekiah plans to expand capability in future beta releases to include the ability to publish data to WeoGeo libraries from within ArcMap and support advanced WeoGeo features such as tables of contents.
